Hello My Name Is...

Louise Hanrahan

Louise Hanrahan, her husband, Kevin, and her two children Katie and Patrick all attended Harbor School.  She is thrilled to have the position of Dean of Students.  Louise is a graduate of Stonehill College with a B. A. in education. She is a certified K-8 teacher. She earned her Master’s Degree from Connecticut College, and her Administrative Degree form Sacred Heart University.  She started her career in New London as an elementary teacher and taught middle school in Waterford for several years. In her free time, Louise enjoys boating, going to the gym and watching her children play soccer. Louise is a lifelong resident of New London.  Please feel free  to reach her at if you have any questions.  

Golden Spatula

The Golden Spatula is awarded each week to two classes that follow cafeteria expectations:
*Walk quietly in line.
*Walk to your class table.
*Stay seated in your area.
*Use a speaking voice.
*Say "Please" and "Thank You"
*Clean up your area.

Personal Space

The Golden Ruler is awarded to two classes each Friday that exhibit the best use of personal space in the classroom, cafeteria, on the playground and in the hallways.

Attendance Matters

Attendance Matters
At Harbor School, we stress the 
importance of good attendance. Check out our Bulletin Board located outside the Dean's office. At the end of each month, the grade level that has the most improved attendance will be treated to a special event!

were reviewed with all students.
If a student receives a...

  • Level 1 or 2 referral the student will be sent to a buddy room for five minutes and will fill out a student reflection form. Teachers will notify parents.
  • All level 3 referrals will report to the Dean's office. The student will be issued a time out , complete a reflection form, and complete class work. Parents will be notified by the Dean
